Material Specialist Engineer Required in Qatar

The Material Specialist Engineer is responsible for selecting, evaluating, and managing the materials used in engineering projects to ensure they meet technical specifications and project requirements. This role involves material research, quality assessment, and collaboration with design and engineering teams to optimize material selection for performance, cost, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Selection and Evaluation:
   • Identify and select appropriate materials for various engineering projects based on design requirements, environmental conditions, and performance criteria.
   • Conduct detailed evaluations of material properties, including strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability.
   • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to recommend materials that optimize performance and cost.
2. Material Testing and Analysis:
   • Plan and conduct tests to assess the quality and performance of materials under different conditions.
   • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for material improvements or alternatives.
   • Ensure materials comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
3. Supplier Management:
   • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with material suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality materials.
   • Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate material costs and delivery schedules.
   • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to material quality or supply chain disruptions.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing material specifications, test results, and recommendations.
   • Maintain up-to-date records of material certifications, compliance documents, and supplier information.

Qualifications:
