Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Cleaning and Detailing

• Perform thorough washing of the exterior of vehicles using high-pressure hoses, soap, and other cleaning products to remove dirt, grime, and debris.
• Dry and polish vehicle exteriors, including windows, mirrors, and chrome parts, ensuring a streak-free finish.
• Vacuum and clean the interior of vehicles, removing trash, dusting surfaces, and wiping down dashboards, consoles, and other interior areas.
• Apply wax or sealants to protect vehicle paint and enhance its appearance, using appropriate tools and products.

2. Attention to Detail and Quality Control

• Inspect vehicles before and after washing to ensure all dirt, stains, and spots are removed, paying special attention to hard-to-reach areas.
• Identify and report any scratches, dents, or damages found on vehicles during the cleaning process to the supervisor for further action.
• Ensure consistent quality of work by following company standards and using the correct cleaning techniques and products for each vehicle type.
• Perform final checks on each vehicle to ensure it meets the expected cleanliness and detailing standards before returning it to the customer or lot.

3. Safe and Efficient Work Practices

• Follow safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals, pressure washers, and other equipment to avoid accidents or injuries.
• Wear appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and safety goggles, when handling cleaning products and operating machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing cleaning supplies and equipment after use.
• Adhere to company guidelines for handling and washing vehicles, ensuring no damage is caused during the cleaning process.

4. Night Shift Operations and Time Management

• Work efficiently during the night shift to clean and detail a set number of vehicles as per the schedule and company targets.
• Coordinate with other team members to manage the flow of vehicles in and out of the washing area, minimizing wait times and maximizing productivity.
• Monitor work progress and manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed before the end of the shift.
• Be prepared to handle any unexpected tasks or additional vehicles during the shift as needed.

5. Equipment Maintenance and Care

• Regularly check and maintain cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, vacuums, and buffers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the maintenance team for prompt repair or replacement.
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor when stock is low to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Clean and store all equipment properly after each shift, following safety guidelines and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a car washer, detailer, or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and lift heavy equipment or supplies.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety procedures.
