Heavy Driver Required in Kuwait

A Heavy Driver is responsible for operating large vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses, or other heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods, equipment, or passengers. This role requires expertise in vehicle operation, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to navigate efficiently to various destinations. Heavy Drivers play a critical role in ensuring timely and secure transportation services while maintaining vehicle functionality and complying with traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation and Maintenance

• Safely operate heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses, or trailers, in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle.

Transportation of Goods or Passengers

• Transport goods, materials, or passengers to assigned destinations efficiently and on schedule.
• Secure cargo to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with weight limits and load safety requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods as needed, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Compliance with Regulations

• Adhere to local, national, and international transportation laws and regulations, including those related to road safety, weight limits, and driving hours.
• Maintain valid heavy vehicle driver’s licenses and certifications required by the region or company.
• Follow designated routes and schedules, using GPS or maps to navigate unfamiliar areas effectively.

Record Keeping and Communication

• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery or passenger records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, or team members to provide updates on progress, delays, or vehicle issues.
• Report any accidents, mechanical issues, or violations promptly to the appropriate authorities or supervisors.

Safety and Emergency Preparedness

• Ensure the safety of passengers, goods, and other road users by following defensive driving techniques.
• Respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies such as breakdowns or accidents, taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
• Stay updated on weather and road conditions to plan routes that avoid hazards and delays.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license specific to the region or type of vehicle.
• Proven experience operating heavy vehicles, preferably in long-haul or commercial driving.
• Strong knowledge of traffic regulations, road safety, and vehicle maintenance practices.
• Good physical health and stamina to handle long hours of driving and potential lifting of heavy goods.
