Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting and Design Development

Create detailed structural drawings, plans, and layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Collaborate with structural engineers to incorporate design specifications, dimensions, and materials into the blueprints. Ensure that all drawings are clear, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.

2. Technical Calculations and Analysis

Support structural engineers by conducting basic calculations to confirm the integrity and feasibility of design elements. Incorporate load-bearing and stress-analysis data into the drawings to meet safety and functional standards.

3. Documentation and Revision Management

Maintain and update project documentation, including drawings and design changes. Ensure proper version control and timely distribution of updated plans to stakeholders. Track revisions based on feedback from engineers, architects, and project managers.

4. Compliance with Standards

Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards, building codes, and regulations. Familiarize with local and international structural design guidelines and incorporate them into drawings as required.

5. Collaboration with Project Teams

Work closely with engineers, architects, and contractors to gather information, clarify requirements, and address design challenges. Participate in project meetings to ensure alignment between design outputs and construction needs.

6. Site Support and Visualization

Assist in preparing 3D models or visualizations to help clients and stakeholders understand the proposed structure. Occasionally visit project sites to verify measurements and ensure drawings reflect real-world conditions.

7. Quality Assurance

Review and cross-check all drawings for accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular audits to ensure that design deliverables meet high-quality standards and client expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in drafting software like AutoCAD, Revit, or other 3D modeling tools.
• Basic understanding of structural engineering principles and materials.
