Responsibilities

1. Lesson Planning and Delivery

• Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions to teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
• Introduce students to literature, analyzing texts to enhance their understanding of themes, characters, and language styles.

2. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring

• Design and administer assessments, including quizzes, tests, and assignments, to evaluate student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills and academic performance.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.

3. Classroom Management

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
• Address and resolve classroom challenges to ensure a productive and respectful atmosphere.
• Promote discipline and time management among students to enhance their learning experience.

4. Individualized Support

• Identify and support students with varying learning needs, including those who require additional assistance.
• Develop strategies to help struggling learners and provide opportunities for advanced learners to excel.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and concerns.

5. Professional Development and Collaboration

• Stay updated on the latest teaching methods, educational technologies, and language trends.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferred for higher levels).
• Teaching certification or license in English education.
• Proven experience as an English teacher, preferably in an academic institution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
