Responsibilities

1. Installation of HVAC Systems

• Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including ductwork, piping, and electrical connections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
• Test newly installed systems to confirm functionality and compliance with design requirements.

2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in equipment and recommend effective solutions.
• Clean and replace filters, coils, and other system components to maintain efficiency.

3. Repairs and Adjustments

• Repair or replace faulty components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, and wiring.
• Adjust system settings, such as airflow, temperature, and humidity controls, to meet customer preferences.
• Ensure timely resolution of breakdowns to minimize disruptions for clients.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and hazards during HVAC operations.
• Handle refrigerants and chemicals safely, adhering to environmental guidelines and standards.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry best practices.

5. Customer Service

• Communicate effectively with clients to explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance tips.
• Provide cost estimates for repairs or installations and answer any customer questions.
• Build trust and maintain positive relationships with clients through reliable and professional service.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations performed.
• Prepare detailed service reports, including recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
• Use digital tools and software to update work orders and track service history.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC technology is preferred.
• Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a solid understanding of heating and cooling systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigerants, and airflow principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
