Heavy and Light Truck Technician Required

DOMUS ALKHALEEJ CEMENT PRODUCTS INDUSTRIES LLC is looking for a Heavy and Light Truck Technician in Abu Dhabi.

A Heavy and Light Truck Technician specializes in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of heavy and light commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and other large machinery. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle systems, from engines to electronics, to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Inspection and Diagnostics:
   • Perform routine inspections on heavy and light trucks to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
   • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess the condition of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics.
   • Accurately diagnose problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:

Conduct regular maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid replacements.

Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, and electrical systems.

Ensure all repairs meet safety and performance standards.

1. Troubleshooting:
   1. Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
   2. Use advanced diagnostic software and tools to pinpoint issues in vehicle systems.
   3. Provide solutions to minimize vehicle downtime and improve performance.
2. System Upgrades and Modifications:
   • Install and upgrade systems in heavy and light trucks, such as GPS units, telematics, and safety devices.
   • Modify vehicles for specific tasks or improve their efficiency and safety.
   • Ensure all upgrades and modifications comply with industry regulations.
3. Record Keeping and Reporting:
   • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles.
   • Prepare reports on the condition of vehicles, recommended repairs, and completed work.
   • Keep track of parts inventory and order necessary components as needed.
4. Compliance with Safety Standards:
   • Adhere to all safety regulations and standards during maintenance and repair activities.
   • Ensure that all vehicles meet industry and legal safety requirements before returning them to service.
   • Educate vehicle operators on proper maintenance practices and safety procedures.
5. Customer Service:
   • Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
   • Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines.
   • Offer advice on maintaining vehicles to extend their lifespan and improve performance.
6. Continuous Learning and Development:
   • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
   • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
   • Adapt to new diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.

Skills Required:

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred.
• Experience in truck or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Certification from recognized automotive organizations (e.g., ASE) is an advantage.
