Key Responsibilities
Conducting Compliance Audits
- Plan and execute regular and surprise audits to assess the company’s adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and procedures.
- Identify any deviations from compliance requirements and document findings accurately, providing evidence to support conclusions.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather necessary documentation and gain insights into processes that affect regulatory compliance.
Risk Assessment and Analysis
- Evaluate company processes to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities that could result in non-compliance or operational inefficiencies.
- Analyze audit findings to determine the root causes of compliance issues and develop recommendations for mitigation.
- Prepare and present detailed reports that outline risks, non-compliance areas, and suggested corrective actions to management.
Policy and Procedure Review
- Review and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- Ensure that internal policies align with Arabic-speaking regional regulations, specifically monitoring changes in regulatory frameworks that affect company operations.
- Work with the compliance team to implement revised policies, ensuring staff understand new requirements and protocols.
Training and Awareness
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on compliance requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Develop informational materials in Arabic to enhance awareness of compliance expectations among Arabic-speaking employees.
- Provide guidance and answer compliance-related questions from staff, supporting them in maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Continuously monitor compliance efforts across departments and report any ongoing or emerging compliance issues to the Compliance Office.
- Document all audit activities, maintaining detailed records to support internal and external audit requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports in both English and Arabic, summarizing audit findings, corrective actions, and overall compliance performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; certification in auditing or compliance (e.g., CISA, CCEP) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in auditing, compliance, or a related field, ideally with experience in the Arabic-speaking region.
- Language: Fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent reading and writing skills in both languages to handle compliance documentation effectively.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attributes: Ethical, objective, and independent, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
