The Doorman serves as the first point of contact for guests, offering a warm, professional, and courteous welcome. The role involves assisting guests with entry and exit from the premises, managing the flow of traffic at the entrance, and providing additional support to ensure a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting and Welcoming Guests:
    • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering a sincere and friendly welcome.
    • Open and close doors for guests as they enter and exit the premises, ensuring a smooth and courteous experience.
  2. Assisting with Entry and Exit:
    • Assist guests in and out of vehicles, including taxis, personal cars, or shuttles.
    • Provide special attention to children, elderly, and disabled guests, ensuring they are safely escorted to and from the entrance.
  3. Traffic Management:
    • Monitor and manage the flow of traffic at the entrance, ensuring vehicles are parked or moved efficiently to avoid congestion.
    • Coordinate with valet services or parking attendants to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Security and Safety:
    • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
    • Ensure the safety and security of guests by maintaining a visible presence at the entrance and assisting with any security protocols.
  5. Luggage Assistance:
    • Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring it is safely transported from the vehicle to the lobby or guest room as needed.
    • Coordinate with bell staff to ensure luggage is promptly and properly handled.
  6. Providing Information and Directions:
    • Offer guests information about the hotel or building, nearby attractions, and local services.
    • Provide directions and assist with inquiries, ensuring guests feel informed and supported during their visit.
  7. Maintaining Entrance Cleanliness:
    • Ensure the entrance area is clean, tidy, and free from obstructions at all times.
    • Coordinate with housekeeping or maintenance staff to address any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
  8. Handling Special Requests:
    • Assist with special requests from guests, such as arranging transportation, providing umbrellas during inclement weather, or helping with personal items.
    • Ensure all requests are handled efficiently and with a high level of customer service.
  9. Professional Appearance and Demeanor:
    • Maintain a neat and professional appearance, adhering to the company’s dress code and grooming standards.
    • Exhibit a courteous, respectful, and positive demeanor at all times, representing the establishment with pride.
  10. Communication and Coordination:
    • Communicate effectively with other team members, including front desk staff, bellhops, and security, to ensure seamless service.
