Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supplies and avoid shortages.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including details such as item descriptions, quantities, and locations.
- Update and manage databases or manual logs for real-time tracking of stock levels.
Store Organization
- Organize and label items systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Ensure the storage area is clean, safe, and complies with health and safety standards.
Procurement and Supply Coordination
- Collaborate with suppliers to place orders for replenishment as needed.
- Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill their inventory requirements promptly.
Loss Prevention
- Implement measures to prevent theft, damage, or loss of stock.
- Regularly inspect items for signs of wear, damage, or expiration and take necessary action.
Customer and Team Support
- Assist customers or team members with locating and retrieving required items.
- Train and supervise junior staff or assistants when necessary.
