Key Responsibilities

  1. Inspection and Calibration of Instrumentation Systems
    During the shutdown period, the Instrument Technician will be responsible for inspecting and calibrating all relevant instruments, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and flow meters. You will assess the functionality and accuracy of these systems, ensuring they meet operational standards and comply with regulatory guidelines. Any adjustments needed to restore accuracy or function will be completed efficiently, minimizing delays in the project timeline.
  2. Preventive Maintenance and Repairs
    A key responsibility in this role is to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on critical instrumentation to ensure operational reliability. You will diagnose faults, conduct repairs, and replace components as necessary, ensuring all systems are ready for full operation post-shutdown. This includes documenting maintenance activities and logging any repairs to maintain a clear record of work completed during the shutdown.
  3. Testing and Troubleshooting of Control Systems
    As an Instrument Technician, you will carry out comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of control systems and automated equipment. This includes working with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and other automated systems to detect and resolve potential issues. Accurate diagnosis and timely resolution are essential to maintaining the efficiency of the shutdown process and ensuring system readiness for full operation.
  4. Adherence to Safety and Quality Standards
    Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards is critical in this shutdown role. The Instrument Technician will follow all safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safe handling of tools and equipment, and compliance with the company’s safety regulations.   5. Documentation and Reporting
