Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store items in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
2. Order Preparation and Dispatch
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment according to order specifications.
- Ensure that all outgoing orders are accurately labeled and documented.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
3. Maintenance and Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and report any hazards or damages immediately.
4. Record Keeping and Reporting
- Keep detailed records of inventory movements, including receipts, returns, and dispatches.
- Assist with preparing reports on warehouse activities for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations.
5. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and workflow.
- Coordinate with the shipping and receiving teams to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Support other departments when additional manpower is needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse experience is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
