Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Recordkeeping:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing balance sheets and income statements. This includes ensuring that all financial documentation is organized, up-to-date, and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. - Account Reconciliation:
The Accountant is tasked with reconciling various financial accounts, such as bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger accounts. This ensures that discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner to maintain accurate financial data. - Financial Reporting:
The Accountant prepares regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial summaries. These reports are shared with senior management, enabling them to make informed decisions. - Budget Preparation and Forecasting:
