What You’ll Do: Responsibilities
As a freelance ELV technician, you’ll be responsible for the programming and installation of various low-voltage systems:
- CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television): Setting up security camera systems for homes or businesses.
- Internet Points: Installing and configuring network jacks for reliable internet access.
- Audio Systems: Installing and programming PA systems for public announcements and music systems for background ambience.
- Satellite TV: Setting up satellite dishes and equipment for access to satellite channels.
- Intercom Systems: Installing and configuring intercom systems with video and audio capabilities for clear communication within buildings.
Note: ELV stands for Extra-Low Voltage, which refers to electrical systems operating at voltages below 50 volts.
