Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces in designated areas.
- Sanitize bathrooms, replenish toiletries, and ensure fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition.
- Change linens, make beds, and restock room supplies as needed.
Inspection and Reporting
- Inspect rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness and report any maintenance or repair needs to the relevant department.
- Identify and report lost and found items promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are in proper working order and notify management of any issues.
Adherence to Standards
- Follow company guidelines for cleaning methods and safety protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Handle cleaning chemicals responsibly, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and instructions.
- Uphold organizational standards of service and professionalism at all times.
Customer Service
- Respond to guest or resident requests promptly and courteously, ensuring their needs are met.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Address complaints or concerns efficiently and escalate unresolved issues to management.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other inventory items.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of cleaning tools and materials to prevent damage or misuse.
- Maintain records of completed tasks and used supplies for tracking purposes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if needed.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and guests.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
Work Environment
