Key Responsibilities
Patient Care and Assessment
Conduct thorough health assessments of patients, including taking medical histories, vital signs, and performing physical examinations. Observe patients’ conditions and report changes to the attending physician to ensure appropriate care.
Medical Procedures and Treatments
Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per doctors’ instructions. Assist in minor medical procedures, wound care, injections, and taking blood samples.
Patient Education
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and preventive care. Provide guidance on managing chronic illnesses and post-treatment care to ensure recovery and reduce the risk of complications.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team
Work closely with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care plans, treatment progress, and concerns.
Record Keeping and Documentation
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting medical histories, treatment plans, progress notes, and medications administered. Ensure that all records comply with medical regulations and confidentiality standards.
Supportive Care
Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families, especially during difficult or stressful situations. Help patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visit or stay at the medical center.
Infection Control and Safety
Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure a safe clinical environment. Regularly sanitize equipment and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license to practice in the relevant region.
