Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

As an NDT Inspector, your primary responsibility is to carry out non-destructive tests on materials and components to detect potential defects, cracks, corrosion, or other forms of degradation. Using techniques such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, radiographic, and eddy current testing, you will inspect critical infrastructure to ensure it meets safety and operational standards. 2. Interpretation of Test Results

The NDT Inspector must analyze and interpret the data from testing procedures to determine the integrity of the materials. You will compare results against industry standards and specifications, providing detailed reports that outline any detected defects and recommending corrective actions where necessary. Accurate interpretation of results is essential to prevent accidents, improve quality, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

3. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration

Maintaining and calibrating NDT equipment is a crucial part of the role. As an NDT Inspector, you are responsible for ensuring that all testing equipment is functioning correctly and is regularly calibrated according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Proper maintenance of testing tools is essential for producing accurate and reliable test results.

4. Compliance with Safety Standards

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Certified in relevant NDT methods (e.g., ASNT, PCN, or ISO 9712 certifications).
• Proven experience in non-destructive testing and inspection.
• Strong knowledge of NDT methods and techniques such as ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle testing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
