Key Responsibilities

  1. Payroll Processing
  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and within the designated timelines.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, including taxes, insurance, and other contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations during payroll preparation.
  1. Record Keeping and Documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of payroll transactions, employee compensation details, and attendance.
  • Prepare and distribute pay slips to employees, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Archive payroll documentation securely to comply with organizational policies and audit requirements.
  1. Tax Compliance and Reporting
  • Calculate and remit payroll taxes and contributions in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit periodic payroll tax reports to relevant authorities.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and advise management on necessary adjustments.
  1. Resolving Payroll Queries
  • Address employee inquiries regarding salary discrepancies, deductions, and tax concerns.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll errors or irregularities promptly.
  • Provide clear explanations of payroll policies and procedures to employees.
  1. Collaboration with HR and Finance
  • Work closely with the HR department to ensure employee records are updated with new hires, terminations, or salary changes.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the development of payroll-related policies and procedures.
  1. Compliance and Auditing
  • Ensure all payroll activities comply with internal controls and legal requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and recommend best practices for efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to meet strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for addressing employee queries and collaborating with teams.
