Responsibilities
Customer Assistance and Sales
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the food products they need.
- Provide detailed product information, including ingredients, pricing, and promotional offers, to guide customers in making informed purchases.
- Actively promote featured products and upsell complementary items to boost sales.
Transaction Management
- Handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper billing procedures.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and any required documentation for customer transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales and submit reports to management as required.
Stock Management and Display
- Ensure that all foodstuff products are appropriately stocked, arranged, and labeled for easy access.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store manager to replenish stock as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and display areas, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and addressing their concerns promptly.
- Handle complaints or issues professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction while escalating matters to management if necessary.
- Gather customer feedback to help improve product offerings and services.
Product Knowledge and Training
- Stay updated on the range of foodstuff products available in the showroom, including new arrivals and seasonal offerings.
- Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge of products and sales techniques.
- Provide insights and suggestions to the management team based on customer preferences and market trends.
Sales Performance and Targets
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets by implementing effective selling strategies.
- Monitor and report sales trends, identifying opportunities to improve revenue.
- Participate in promotional events or campaigns to attract new customers and increase sales.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales or marketing is a plus.
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in a foodstuff or FMCG environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Customer-focused attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
