Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement and Service

Greet customers warmly and establish a welcoming atmosphere in the store. Understand customer needs by asking relevant questions and actively listening to their responses. Provide accurate product or service information and offer recommendations that align with the customer’s preferences.

2. Sales and Upselling

Assist customers in selecting products and services while promoting additional items to increase sales. Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and new arrivals to offer appropriate suggestions to customers. Strive to meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.

3. Product Knowledge

Develop an in-depth understanding of the products or services offered, including features, benefits, and usage. Use this knowledge to educate customers and resolve any inquiries or concerns they may have effectively.

4. Merchandising and Store Maintenance

Ensure products are displayed attractively and the store is well-organized and clean. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to the management team. Assist in arranging promotional displays and restocking shelves as needed.

5. Point-of-Sale Transactions

Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout counter. Process payments, issue receipts, and handle returns or exchanges in compliance with company policies. Address any issues related to billing or payment promptly and professionally.

6. Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store objectives and maintain a positive work environment. Share feedback and ideas for improving sales techniques, store layout, or customer service strategies.

7. Market Awareness

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences. Use this information to adapt sales strategies and provide valuable insights to the management team.
