Key Responsibilities
1. Supervising Daily Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service delivery during all shifts.
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including hygiene and food safety standards.
2. Staff Management
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours.
- Train, guide, and mentor staff to improve skills and enhance customer service delivery.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues or conflicts promptly.
3. Customer Service Excellence
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or complaints.
- Handle special requests or unique dining needs, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere for both customers and staff.
4. Inventory and Supplies Management
- Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies, and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock checks to minimize waste and control costs.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods.
5. Reporting and Coordination
- Report daily operational updates, sales figures, and any issues to the Restaurant Manager.
- Collaborate with management to implement new policies, menu changes, or promotional activities.
- Ensure staff adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining consistency in service.
6. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
- Address operational challenges, such as unexpected staff shortages or customer complaints, efficiently.
- Make on-the-spot decisions to resolve issues without compromising service quality.
- Identify areas for improvement in restaurant operations and suggest solutions to management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality management are a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage both staff and customer interactions.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
