Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning and Coordinating Rigging Operations
    The primary role of a Rigging Supervisor is to plan and coordinate all rigging activities on a project site. This involves evaluating the scope of work, determining the necessary rigging equipment, and developing detailed lift plans. Rigging Supervisors work closely with project managers, crane operators, and other team members to ensure that operations are carried out smoothly and in accordance with safety guidelines.
  2. Safety Supervision and Risk Assessment
    Rigging operations involve significant risks, and a Rigging Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment. They conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement measures to mitigate them. This includes regular safety inspections of rigging gear, adherence to safety protocols, and providing safety briefings to the team before starting any rigging work.
  3. Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
    Rigging Supervisors oversee the maintenance and inspection of rigging equipment, such as slings, shackles, chains, and hoists, to ensure they are in good working condition.
