Key Responsibilities
Setup and Operation of Audio Equipment
- Set up microphones, speakers, soundboards, and other audio equipment for events or recordings.
- Configure and operate mixing consoles to control audio levels, equalization, and effects.
- Test and troubleshoot audio systems to ensure optimal performance before and during events.
Audio Recording and Mixing
- Record audio for live or studio performances, broadcasts, or pre-recorded productions.
- Mix multiple audio sources to achieve a balanced and polished sound output.
- Edit and refine recordings using audio editing software to meet desired quality standards.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Regularly inspect and maintain audio equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Identify and resolve technical issues quickly during events or recordings to minimize disruptions.
- Keep an inventory of audio equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with producers, directors, performers, and event organizers to understand and meet audio requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and train them on the use of audio equipment when needed.
- Adapt to last-minute changes in audio setups or requirements while maintaining quality.
Adherence to Safety and Standards

Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as an Audio Technician or in a similar role.

- Strong understanding of acoustics, sound design, and audio signal flow.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A degree or certification in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is an advantage.
