Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

  • Identify and resolve hardware and software issues in PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics to pinpoint problems such as hardware failures, software corruption, or connectivity issues.
  • Use tools and testing equipment to assess device functionality and performance.

2. Repairs and Upgrades

  • Perform repairs such as replacing damaged screens, keyboards, motherboards, and batteries in mobile and PC devices.
  • Install, configure, and update software, operating systems, and antivirus programs.
  • Upgrade hardware components, such as memory, storage, or graphics cards, based on customer needs.

3. Customer Support and Communication

  • Provide clear explanations of technical issues and recommended solutions to customers.
  • Offer guidance on device maintenance, security practices, and usage tips to prevent future problems.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach in all customer interactions.

4. Inventory and Documentation

  • Keep track of tools, spare parts, and inventory needed for repairs.
  • Document repair processes, parts used, and resolution steps in service records or databases.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of customer devices to avoid damage.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Conduct post-repair testing to ensure devices are functioning correctly before returning them to customers.
  • Identify and address potential issues that could arise during device usage.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all repairs and services.

6. Continuous Learning and Skill Development

  • Stay updated on the latest technologies, devices, and repair techniques for PCs and mobile devices.
  • Participate in training sessions or certifications to enhance technical knowledge.
  • Research emerging trends and tools to improve repair efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Technician) are preferred.
  • Proven experience in PC and mobile device repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) and hardware components.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and software diagnostic programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
