Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that stock is properly organized and stored. They assist in conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory records, and ensuring the accurate tracking of items. This includes checking for damaged goods, ensuring proper storage conditions, and making sure that items are ready for dispatch.

2. Receiving and Inspecting Shipments

Upon receiving deliveries, the Warehouse Assistant inspects incoming shipments to verify that the correct items have been delivered in good condition. They check quantities, inspect for damages, and compare the shipment with purchase orders or delivery receipts. Any discrepancies are reported to the supervisor for further action.

3. Order Preparation and Picking

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for picking and packing orders based on customer requests or sales orders.
