Working closely with the finance team and reporting to the Finance Manager, this individual will manage key aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis. The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive prepares and analyzes financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This includes tracking and evaluating key financial indicators, providing variance analysis, and generating insights on financial performance. Accurate financial reporting and analysis provide management with the data needed for sound financial decision-making. - General Ledger and Account Reconciliation
This role involves maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger by overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations. The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded, categorized, and reconciled, enabling accurate and reliable financial reporting. Regular reconciliation also helps identify and resolve any discrepancies, supporting the integrity of financial data. - Budgeting and Forecasting Support
The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive plays a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing historical financial data, preparing budget reports, and supporting future financial planning. This includes coordinating with other departments to gather financial information and assisting in setting realistic financial targets. By contributing to accurate budgeting and forecasting, this role helps the organization effectively allocate resources. - Accounts Payable and Receivable Management
This role manages accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive oversees payment schedules, reconciles accounts, and maintains positive relationships with vendors and customers. Effective AP and AR management supports smooth cash flow and strengthens the company’s financial position. - Compliance and Audit Support
The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive ensures compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal financial policies. This includes preparing documentation for audits, assisting in tax filings, and ensuring that accounting practices align with regulatory standards. By maintaining compliance, this role protects the organization from potential penalties and supports a strong reputation in financial management. - Process Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement
In this role, the Assistant Manager/Senior Executive identifies opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
