Assistant Electrician Required in Oman

The Assistant Electrician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Working under the guidance of a licensed electrician, the Assistant Electrician helps with tasks such as wiring, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role requires basic knowledge of electrical systems, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to follow detailed instructions to ensure safe and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation Support

• Assist with the installation of wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, lighting, and other electrical components, following the guidance and instructions of a licensed electrician.
• Help with laying conduit, running wires, and setting up control systems in line with electrical blueprints and technical specifications.
• Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are readily available for the electrician, aiding in the efficient completion of installations.

Maintenance and Repair Assistance

• Support electricians in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including identifying faults and replacing defective components.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tightening connections, replacing bulbs, and testing circuits to ensure safety and functionality.
• Document and report any issues or potential safety hazards observed during maintenance work to the supervising electrician.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to reduce the risk of electrical hazards.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, minimizing potential hazards and maintaining a safe environment for all team members.
• Follow all company policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes and standards.

Learning and Development

• Observe and learn from licensed electricians, gaining hands-on experience and developing practical skills in electrical work.
• Participate in ongoing training and workshops to enhance knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical techniques and technology under the guidance of senior team members.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical work or related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a related field is an advantage, though not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Skills: Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools, ability to follow instructions accurately, and strong attention to safety.
