Key Responsibilities

1. Installation of Plumbing Systems

• Install and assemble pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures for water, gas, and waste systems.
• Plan and lay out pipe systems using blueprints and building specifications.
• Ensure that all installations meet local and national building codes.

2. Maintenance and Repairs

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and broken fixtures.
• Replace or upgrade outdated plumbing systems to improve efficiency and functionality.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent plumbing failures.

3. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

• Identify the root cause of plumbing problems using tools and technical knowledge.
• Propose effective and cost-efficient solutions to resolve plumbing issues.
• Collaborate with clients to explain repair options and estimated costs.

4. Adherence to Safety and Quality Standards

• Follow safety protocols when handling hazardous materials, such as gas or chemicals.
• Ensure that all work complies with industry standards and environmental regulations.
• Use tools and equipment properly to avoid accidents and ensure high-quality results.

5. Client Interaction and Coordination

• Communicate with clients to understand their plumbing needs and concerns.

6. Record-Keeping and Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of materials used, repairs performed, and inspections completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in plumbing is preferred.
• Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role.

• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces.
