Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Civil Required in Oman

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Civil is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of construction projects by conducting detailed inspections, identifying defects, and verifying that construction practices align with established quality standards. The QC Inspector works closely with construction teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain a high level of quality throughout all stages of civil construction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspection and Quality Verification
   The QC Inspector performs on-site inspections of construction work, assessing materials, methods, and workmanship to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This includes checking foundations, concrete placement, reinforcement, masonry, and other critical structural components. By ensuring quality at each stage, the inspector helps prevent costly errors and promotes structural safety.
2. Monitoring Compliance with Standards and Regulations
   Ensuring that construction practices meet applicable engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations is a core responsibility. The QC Inspector is familiar with relevant standards (such as ACI, ASTM, and local building codes) and verifies that all activities comply with these guidelines. Through this oversight, the inspector minimizes risks and ensures that the construction process adheres to legal and quality requirements.
3. Identifying and Documenting Defects
   As part of quality control, the QC Inspector identifies defects or non-compliance issues and documents these findings. Qualifications and Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in quality control or inspection in civil construction
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASTM, ACI)
• Experience with quality testing tools and inspection equipment
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with teams
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with QC reporting software
