Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Delivering PE Lessons
The PE Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive physical education curriculum tailored to various grade levels. This includes planning age-appropriate activities, exercises, and sports that promote physical fitness, coordination, and motor skills. The Teacher will design lessons that cater to students’ different abilities, ensuring that all students are actively engaged and challenged to improve their physical skills.
2. Promoting Physical Fitness and Healthy Lifestyles
The role involves educating students about the importance of physical fitness, healthy living, and good nutrition. The PE Teacher will conduct fitness assessments and help students set personal fitness goals. Through various exercises, games, and sports, the Teacher will encourage students to adopt an active lifestyle and make informed choices about their health and well-being. Promoting the benefits of regular physical activity and educating students on the principles of a balanced diet are key components of this role.
3. Organizing Sports Activities and Competitions
The PE Teacher will organize and supervise a variety of sports activities, games, and competitions within the school. This includes coordinating team sports such as basketball, volleyball, football, and individual activities like athletics and gymnastics. The Teacher will encourage participation in both competitive and recreational sports, helping students to develop teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills. 4. Ensuring Safety During Physical Activities
Safety is a top priority in physical education classes. The PE Teacher will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe environment. The Teacher will supervise students closely during activities, offer guidance on proper techniques, and address any safety concerns immediately. Teaching students about the importance of warm-up exercises, stretching, and injury prevention is also an essential part of this role.
5. Encouraging Inclusivity and Positive Attitude

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience in physical education.
- Strong knowledge of physical fitness, exercise techniques, and sports rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate physical activities for students of different skill levels.
- Strong organizational skills for planning lessons, activities, and sports events.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A passion for promoting health, fitness, and an active lifestyle among students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
Working Conditions
