Key Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance
- Install, calibrate, and configure electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation devices.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in wiring, sensors, actuators, and other system components.
- Conduct loop checks to verify the accuracy of instrumentation connections and outputs.
System Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor the performance of electrical and instrumentation systems using diagnostic tools.
- Adjust or reprogram control systems to improve efficiency and meet operational needs.
- Analyze data from instruments to detect anomalies or trends that may indicate system issues.
Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all work complies with local regulations and standards.
- Inspect electrical and instrumentation installations to verify compliance with codes and operational requirements.
- Document and report safety hazards or potential risks in the work environment.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to address system issues and plan improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and team members as needed.
Upgrades and Modifications
- Assist in upgrading or modifying existing systems to integrate new technologies.
- Install and commission new electrical or instrumentation equipment as part of process improvements.
- Participate in projects related to system expansions or replacements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation roles, preferably in industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of process control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and calibration equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and industry standards.
