Responsibilities
1. Cost Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze and report on manufacturing, operational, and project costs to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability assessments.
- Monitor and evaluate cost trends, identifying areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in developing and monitoring budgets by analyzing past and projected costs.
- Provide input for financial forecasting and long-term planning based on cost data.
- Support management with recommendations to align costs with strategic goals.
3. Inventory and Cost Control
- Maintain accurate records of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Perform regular audits of inventory and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and monitor cost control measures to minimize waste and inefficiencies.
4. Standard Costing and Variance Analysis
- Establish and maintain standard costs for products and services.
- Perform variance analysis by comparing actual costs to standards and investigating deviations.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and address root causes of variances.
5. Financial System Maintenance and Compliance
- Ensure cost accounting systems and procedures comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing cost-related data and documentation.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with production, procurement, and finance teams to align cost accounting with operational goals.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to present financial data effectively to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
