What You’ll Do: Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Determine the electrical requirements of the project.
• Create detailed blueprints and outlines for electrical systems.
• Place utilities, workstations, and other fixtures according to specifications.
• Interpret and understand project blueprints.
• Estimate the length of electrical wire needed for the project.
• Identify cost and time constraints.
• Know the supply cost for each component.
• Determine labor requirements to complete the project.
• Coordinate with other team members.
• Maintain an electrical cost database.
• Calculate various profitability solutions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
• Maintain healthy relationships with clients.
• Identify risks involved in the project.
• Explain the cost of waste materials.
• Complete project bids according to guidelines.
• Adhere to all electrical rules and regulations.
