Health, Safety, and Environment Manager Required in Qatar

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to lead and oversee our safety and environmental management programs. The HSE Manager will ensure compliance with legal regulations, promote a safety-conscious culture, and implement initiatives to minimize workplace hazards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety, environmental regulations, and risk management, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing and Implementing HSE Policies
   The HSE Manager will be responsible for creating, updating, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies across the organization. This includes ensuring that all policies comply with local and international safety regulations and are effectively communicated to all employees. You will work closely with management to align safety goals with business objectives and foster a proactive safety culture.
2. Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification
   A key function of this role is conducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential workplace hazards. You will be tasked with analyzing safety data, identifying trends, and recommending preventive measures. By evaluating risks related to equipment, processes, and work environments, you will help the organization minimize the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
3. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
   The HSE Manager will ensure that the company complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. This includes staying up to date with changes in legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to keep the company compliant. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, preparing reports for regulatory bodies, and ensuring that all required safety inspections are conducted.
4. Training and Employee Engagement
   You will develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols. By engaging employees and raising awareness about health and safety practices, you will help build a safety-conscious workforce. The HSE Manager will also organize regular safety drills and workshops to ensure that all personnel are prepared for potential emergencies.
5. Incident Investigation and Corrective Action
   In the event of a safety incident, the HSE Manager will lead investigations to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions. You will analyze incidents to prevent future occurrences and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed. Timely and thorough investigations are essential for maintaining a safe workplace and improving safety protocols.
6. Environmental Management
   In addition to overseeing health and safety, the HSE Manager will manage the organization’s environmental policies. This includes ensuring that the company meets environmental regulations related to waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices. You will develop strategies to reduce the company’s environmental footprint and promote eco-friendly initiatives throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HSE management or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
• Ability to analyze complex data and implement practical safety solutions.
• Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
