Key Responsibilities

1. Web Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring seamless functionality and a positive user experience.

2. Database Management and Optimization

• Develop and manage database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using MySQL or other relational databases.
• Optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and minimal server load.
• Implement data security measures, including data encryption and protection against SQL injection and other vulnerabilities.

3. API Development and Integration

• Design and develop RESTful APIs to support seamless integration with external systems, mobile applications, and third-party services.
• Implement API endpoints for data exchange, ensuring secure and reliable communication between systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integration, enhancing system interoperability and performance.

4. Testing and Debugging

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Debug and resolve issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with the QA team to perform comprehensive testing, including performance, usability, and security testing.

5. Continuous Improvement and Maintenance

• Maintain and update existing PHP applications, implementing new features and improvements based on user feedback and business requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP development, incorporating best practices and new tools into the development process.
• Contribute to code optimization and refactoring efforts, improving the efficiency and maintainability of the codebase.

6. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers, sharing knowledge and promoting a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases, including database design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and deployment tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
