Key Responsibilities
1. Management of Housekeeping and Soft Services Operations
- Develop and oversee housekeeping and soft service strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for occupants.
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of services, including cleaning, waste management, pest control, landscaping, and other soft services, ensuring they meet both company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with service providers, contractors, and staff to establish daily schedules, routines, and service quality standards.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to assess cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all soft service operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as any internal policies and industry standards.
- Develop quality assurance programs, setting benchmarks for service quality, and implementing improvements based on feedback and performance reviews.
3. Budgeting and Resource Management
- Manage budgets for housekeeping and soft services, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
- Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and supplies, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Work with procurement teams to evaluate and select vendors, negotiate service agreements, and monitor contracts to maintain value for money and consistent service quality.
4. Staff Training and Development
- Provide guidance and support to housekeeping and soft services teams, conducting training sessions to improve skills, knowledge, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Develop training programs on cleaning standards, health and safety, emergency response, and customer service to enhance staff performance and service delivery.
- Evaluate team performance and address any skill gaps or training needs to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.
5. Customer Satisfaction and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building occupants, and other stakeholders, addressing any service concerns and ensuring a positive experience with soft services.
- Gather feedback from clients and occupants, conducting surveys or meetings to understand their needs and make necessary improvements to service delivery.
- Collaborate with other facilities management functions to integrate soft services into broader facility plans and support a cohesive facility management strategy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, specifically in managing housekeeping and soft services.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
- Proven experience in budget management, resource allocation, and vendor negotiations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and service providers to deliver results.
