Key Responsibilities

1. Product Knowledge and Technical Support

Develop a thorough understanding of the products or services being sold, including their technical specifications and applications. Provide technical support to customers during the sales process, offering solutions to their specific needs and addressing any concerns they may have.

2. Customer Relationship Management

Identify and build strong relationships with potential and existing customers. Understand their business requirements and tailor product presentations and solutions accordingly. Act as the main point of contact for technical inquiries and follow-ups.

3. Sales Presentations and Proposals

Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and webinars to showcase product features and benefits. Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations that outline solutions, pricing, and delivery schedules to meet customer requirements.

4. Market Research and Lead Generation

Conduct research to identify new market opportunities and potential customers. Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads through various channels, including trade shows, conferences, and digital platforms.

5. Collaborating with Engineering and Production Teams

Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that the solutions being presented to clients are feasible and meet product specifications. Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

6. Sales Negotiation and Closing

Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with customers, ensuring that agreements are beneficial for both the company and the client. Close sales and follow up on post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

7. Reporting and Documentation

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasting, and project updates to management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in an engineering or industrial environment.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of the product’s technical aspects and the ability to communicate this knowledge to customers effectively.
  • Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly understand customer challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support.
