Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management and Stock Control
    The Storekeeper is tasked with managing inventory levels, keeping accurate records of stock, and ensuring that the storage area is well-organized. By keeping track of stock movements and needs, the Storekeeper ensures that supplies are readily available and minimizes the risk of shortages or overstocking.
  2. Receiving and Inspecting Goods
    When new shipments arrive, the Storekeeper receives, inspects, and verifies the accuracy and quality of the goods. They check shipments against purchase orders, note any discrepancies or damages, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues. This careful inspection process ensures that only high-quality items enter inventory and that any problems are addressed quickly.
  3. Issuing and Dispatching Goods
    The Storekeeper is responsible for issuing supplies and materials to various departments as requested, ensuring that items are provided in a timely and organized manner. They prepare and track dispatch documents, maintain accurate records of issued items, and manage any return or exchange processes. By ensuring smooth issuance and dispatch, the Storekeeper supports continuous operations across the company.

Qualifications and Skills
