Responsibilities
1. Quality Control Oversight
- Supervise daily quality control operations, including product inspections, testing, and sampling procedures.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure that raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods comply with established specifications and standards.
2. Team Supervision and Training
- Lead and mentor a team of QC inspectors, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
- Organize training sessions to ensure the team is well-versed in quality control protocols and best practices.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring proper resource allocation and productivity.
3. Inspection and Testing
- Conduct regular inspections of materials and production processes to identify defects or deviations.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of testing equipment and ensure its calibration.
- Document and report test results, providing recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
4. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards such as ISO, GMP, or other relevant certifications.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, inspection results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
5. Problem Resolution and Continuous Improvement
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, collaborating with production and engineering teams to identify root causes.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality concerns and minimize recurrence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality control or assurance role, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management tools and software.
