1. Planning and Coordinating Slickline Operations
The Slickline Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordinating slickline operations at the wellsite. This includes analyzing well conditions, determining appropriate tools and techniques, and preparing detailed job plans. They work closely with clients and other field personnel to understand job requirements, set clear objectives, and ensure all equipment and resources are available for successful operations.
2. Supervising Slickline Team and Equipment
A core responsibility of the Slickline Supervisor is to lead the slickline team and oversee the operation of slickline equipment. They ensure that all team members are properly trained and follow standard operating procedures to carry out tasks safely and efficiently. The supervisor conducts pre-job safety meetings, assigns duties, and provides guidance throughout the operation. Additionally, they monitor the condition of slickline equipment, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed to ensure reliability.
3. Ensuring Safety and Compliance
Safety is a top priority for the Slickline Supervisor. They are responsible for implementing and enforcing strict safety protocols in line with industry standards and company policies. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

- In-depth knowledge of slickline equipment, well intervention techniques, and downhole tools
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the oil and gas industry
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and make quick decisions
- Proficiency in using software for well data analysis and reporting
- Certification in well control (IWCF or IADC) is an advantage
- Willingness to work in remote locations and on rotational schedules
