Key Responsibilities
Installation and Setup
- Install electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and other components according to technical specifications and regulatory standards.
- Set up electrical devices and equipment, including motors, lighting systems, control systems, and power supplies, ensuring accurate and safe connections.
- Conduct tests on new installations to verify proper operation and compliance with electrical codes and company guidelines.
Maintenance and Repair
- Diagnose electrical issues by inspecting systems, identifying faults, and using testing devices to locate and fix malfunctions.
- Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to prevent unexpected breakdowns, extending the lifespan of equipment and ensuring safety.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as wiring, switches, relays, and other electrical components, to restore functionality.
Troubleshooting and Technical Support
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in machinery, control panels, and systems, providing immediate solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address electrical problems and enhance system performance.
- Document troubleshooting processes and solutions for future reference and to improve response efficiency.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations, maintaining a secure work environment.
- Perform safety checks and risk assessments before starting any electrical work, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in electrical regulations, incorporating best practices and safety protocols into daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship or vocational training in electrical technology is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical work, with exposure to various systems and equipment.
- Skills: Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
