Key Responsibilities
Design and Planning
- Assist senior engineers in designing and developing plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas systems
- Prepare and review CAD drawings, specifications, and estimates for plumbing projects
- Conduct site visits to gather data and verify existing plumbing conditions
- Research and recommend plumbing materials, equipment, and systems
Installation and Testing
- Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and design specifications
- Assist in testing and commissioning plumbing systems
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Respond to plumbing-related issues and provide technical support
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and replacing worn-out parts
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems and develop solutions
Administrative Tasks
- Assist in preparing reports, proposals, and other documentation
- Maintain project records, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence
- Coordinate with other departments, such as electrical and mechanical engineering
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in plumbing engineering or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., IPC, UPC)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
