Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Recordkeeping

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded systematically and comply with accounting principles.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

2. Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Assist in preparing budgets by analyzing past financial data and predicting future trends.
• Monitor expenditure to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with management to develop long-term financial strategies.

3. Tax Preparation and Compliance

• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and national tax laws.
• Keep updated with changes in tax regulations and advise on their implications for the business.
• Handle audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing discrepancies.

4. Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from financial forecasts and budgets.

5. Internal Controls and Auditing

• Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.

The ideal Accountant is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong problem-solving abilities.
