Key Responsibilities

1. Safe Transportation

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, passengers, or materials.
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers and goods.
• Plan routes to ensure timely arrivals, avoiding delays or traffic-related issues.

2. Vehicle Maintenance

• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Report and address any mechanical issues or damage promptly to minimize downtime.
• Keep the vehicle clean and stocked with necessary supplies, such as tools or first-aid kits.

3. Communication and Documentation

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, or clients to coordinate schedules and updates.
• Maintain accurate records, including trip logs, fuel receipts, and maintenance reports.
• Follow delivery or service instructions carefully, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

4. Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and accommodating.
• Assist passengers or clients with loading and unloading goods when necessary.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when needed.

5. Adherence to Regulations

• Ensure compliance with all driving regulations, including licensing and certifications.
• Follow safety protocols, including securing cargo and adhering to weight restrictions.
• Stay updated on changes in traffic laws or company policies to maintain compliance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal Driver is dependable, punctual, and has a strong attention to detail. They should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Prior experience in a similar role, knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and familiarity with local routes are additional advantages.
