Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements, breaking them down into functional and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, interviews, and surveys to ensure thorough understanding and alignment across teams.

Solution Design and Documentation

  • Work with IT and development teams to design effective solutions that address business needs while aligning with technical capabilities.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, user stories, and system designs.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are scalable, feasible, and adhere to IT and business standards.

Project Management and Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are understood and executed accurately.
  • Assist in project planning by estimating effort, timelines, and resource requirements for business analysis activities.
  • Regularly communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing updates that support informed decision-making.

Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts based on requirements.
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and support business stakeholders during testing phases to validate that the solution meets expectations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues during the testing phase, ensuring they are resolved before deployment.

Continuous Improvement and Post-Implementation Support

  • Monitor the performance of implemented solutions, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to identify any enhancement needs.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions that can optimize business and IT alignment.
  • Provide post-implementation support to address any challenges, ensuring a smooth transition for users and continuous improvement of systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT business analysis, with a strong background in software development life cycles, project management, and requirements analysis.
  • Skills: Proficiency in business analysis techniques, requirements gathering, and process modeling; familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SQL.
  • Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
