Key Responsibilities

1. Safe and Efficient Transportation

• Drive company vehicles to transport passengers, goods, or materials to specified destinations according to assigned schedules and routes.
• Ensure the safety of passengers and goods by following all traffic rules and regulations, maintaining appropriate speeds, and avoiding risky maneuvers.
• Use GPS systems or route planning tools to find the most efficient paths, avoiding traffic congestion and ensuring timely deliveries or pickups.
• Adapt driving techniques based on road conditions, weather, and other external factors to ensure a smooth and safe journey.

2. Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after each trip, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, brakes, and other critical components.
• Report any mechanical issues or damages immediately to the maintenance team or supervisor for prompt repairs.
• Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and outside, to maintain a professional appearance and ensure a comfortable experience for passengers.
• Ensure that all necessary vehicle documents, such as registration, insurance, and inspection certificates, are up to date and stored in the vehicle.

3. Customer Service and Interaction

• Provide a positive and professional experience for passengers, assisting them with boarding, luggage, and any special needs.
• Communicate courteously with customers, answering questions about routes, estimated arrival times, and addressing any concerns during the trip.
• Handle deliveries with care, ensuring that items are properly secured, unloaded safely, and handed over to the correct recipients with appropriate documentation.
• Maintain a friendly and respectful demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive light during interactions with clients and the public.

4. Adherence to Safety and Compliance

• Follow all traffic laws, road signs, and safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or traffic violations.
• Use seat belts at all times and ensure that passengers do the same, promoting safety as a top priority during every trip.
• Remain vigilant and avoid distractions while driving, such as mobile phone usage, to maintain full attention on the road.
• Complete required training programs related to safe driving, defensive driving, and other relevant safety practices.

5. Documentation and Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of trips, including details such as mileage, fuel consumption, start and end times, and any issues encountered during the journey.
• Fill out delivery logs, receipts, or any other required paperwork for completed deliveries or passenger transport services.
• Submit daily or weekly reports to the supervisor, providing insights into the vehicle’s condition, any maintenance needs, and overall trip performance.
• Monitor fuel levels and maintain fuel receipts for expense tracking and reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a professional or commercial setting.
• Familiarity with navigation tools, GPS systems, and local routes.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to sit for long periods and lift or carry heavy items when needed.
• Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
