Responsibilities
Project Scheduling and Planning
- Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
- Work closely with project managers and team members to define project goals and deliverables.
- Utilize specialized software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to create and maintain project plans.
Resource Management
- Identify resource requirements and ensure proper allocation to meet project demands.
- Coordinate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to align resources with project schedules.
- Monitor and adjust resource utilization to prevent bottlenecks or over-allocation.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and their causes.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting project status and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Suggest corrective actions to address delays or deviations from the project plan.
Risk Analysis and Mitigation
- Identify potential risks that may impact project schedules or deliverables.
- Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure that all project plans are flexible enough to accommodate unforeseen challenges.
Collaboration and Communication
- Act as a liaison between various departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to review schedules, progress, and updates.
- Provide guidance to team members on planning processes and tools.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure that project schedules adhere to contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions by providing relevant schedule data.

- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, including earned value management (EVM).
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
