Key Responsibilities

1. Supervising Daily Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service delivery during all shifts.
  • Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including hygiene and food safety standards.

2. Staff Management

  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Train, guide, and mentor staff to improve skills and enhance customer service delivery.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues or conflicts promptly.

3. Customer Service Excellence

  • Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or complaints.
  • Handle special requests or unique dining needs, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere for both customers and staff.

4. Inventory and Supplies Management

  • Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies, and coordinate timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods.

5. Reporting and Coordination

  • Report daily operational updates, sales figures, and any issues to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Collaborate with management to implement new policies, menu changes, or promotional activities.
  • Ensure staff adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining consistency in service.

6. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making

  • Address operational challenges, such as unexpected staff shortages or customer complaints, efficiently.
  • Make on-the-spot decisions to resolve issues without compromising service quality.
  • Identify areas for improvement in restaurant operations and suggest solutions to management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage both staff and customer interactions.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
