Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination and Supervision

  • Oversee the daily operations at the project site to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of interior design works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and designers to ensure that materials, furniture, and fixtures are delivered on time and as per specifications.
  • Supervise and monitor the work of subcontractors to ensure compliance with design plans and quality standards.

2. Quality Control and Compliance

  • Inspect the progress of interior design works, ensuring that design concepts and materials are accurately followed.
  • Ensure that all installations, finishes, and designs are executed to the highest standard and in line with the project’s quality guidelines.
  • Monitor health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

3. Time and Budget Management

  • Ensure that the project stays within the allocated budget and timeline.
  • Track the progress of the work, including scheduling and coordinating site activities to avoid delays.
  • Report on project progress, budget issues, and other concerns to management and clients regularly.

4. Client and Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the design team on-site.
  • Communicate any changes or updates in the project plan to the client and provide solutions to address any concerns.
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues, such as delays, damage, or quality control problems, while maintaining client satisfaction.

5. Documentation and Reporting

  • Keep detailed records of site activities, including progress reports, change orders, and any deviations from the original design.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to permits, inspections, and approvals is up to date and organized.
  • Provide weekly or bi-weekly status reports to the senior project manager or client to update them on key milestones, challenges, and timelines.

6. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making

  • Quickly identify and resolve issues related to design implementation, contractor performance, or material delivery.
  • Make timely decisions to overcome obstacles and keep the project on track.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve processes or address any technical issues encountered on-site.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a site supervisor or project coordinator in the interior design or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of interior design principles, construction processes, and material specifications.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in using project management and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
