Responsibilities

1. Delivery Planning and Scheduling

  • Coordinate delivery schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize routes for efficiency.
  • Work closely with drivers and dispatch teams to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
  • Monitor delivery schedules to accommodate changes or urgent requests.

2. Communication with Stakeholders

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery updates, delays, or inquiries.
  • Communicate delivery instructions clearly to drivers and warehouse teams.
  • Address customer concerns promptly, ensuring a positive delivery experience.

3. Tracking and Monitoring Deliveries

  • Track shipments in real-time to ensure they are on schedule.
  • Monitor and resolve issues such as delays, route changes, or delivery errors.
  • Update customers and management on delivery statuses as needed.

4. Problem Resolution

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during the delivery process, such as damaged goods or incomplete orders.
  • Collaborate with drivers, customers, and management to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Implement corrective measures to prevent recurring problems.

5. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including invoices, receipts, and customer feedback.
  • Generate reports on delivery performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

6. Collaboration with Teams

  • Work closely with warehouse staff to verify inventory and prepare orders for dispatch.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to align delivery schedules with customer expectations.
  • Participate in team meetings to share insights and improve delivery processes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics, delivery coordination, or a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
